Upcycle for Earth Day!

We still have a few times available for our latest Make Believe Session - UpCycle. ReCycle. WeCycle. 

Got jeans that are too short or have holes in the knees? Earth Day is a great reason to bring in some of your favorite clothing items to be upcycled by Suburban Thread artist Cari Williams. We’ll photograph you in your newly upcycled look styled by Suburban Thread in an kitschy chique theme or bring in on your own outfit for our urban grunge sets complete with our miniature motorcycle. 

Below are images from our darling test shoot with models, Ainsley and Beale. The clothes and accessories are upcycled pieces created by Cari Williams of Suburban Thread. If you love what you see on our little models, let us know because these items are availble for purchase.

BROOKLYN is our grand prize winner! She will receive a framed 30x40 print displayed in Oak Park Mall that is hers to keep after the display, a portfolio of images from the her Cutest Kids session and an item of her choice upcycled by Suburban Thread and a gift certificate to Mady & Me! Good Job, Brooklyn and friends. Your pictures are beautiful!

 

KYLIE is our First Runner Up! She will receive a framed 16x20 print displayed in Oak Park Mall that is hers to keep after the display and a $30 gift certificate to A Perfect Treasure and a gift certificate to Mady & Me! Awesome job on the voting, Kylie and family! Your pictures are so sweet!

There was a tie for our Second Runner Up! Because the voting was so tricky and I received numerous emailed votes, BRAXTON as well as siblings, NAYA and BROCK were very, very close. They will all be awarded  the 2nd runner up prize -a framed 10X14 print displayed in Oak Park Mall for each of them that will be theirs to keep after the display. Braxton and Brock will also receive an upcycled item by Suburban Thread and Naya will receive a $30 gift certificate from A Perfect Treasure and a gift certificate to Mady & Me! Can't wait to display your pictures at the mall!

 

Our additional prize winners: NAYA and LAYNIE are our Boutique Winners. They will receive a free modeling session with A Perfect Treasure. Watch the blog for images from that fun session!

 

Visit Oak Park Mall in the next few weeks for our display of our Cutest Kids Contest winners. We'll be moving the Cutest Kids images back to the studio in a week or 2 so come see us at the studio soon, too! Thank you everyone for voting and participating! The voting has begun for antisdel.s Cutest Kid 2012 contest!

This is our 2nd year for the Cutest Kid contest at antisdel.s photography and I'm so pleased that it was as much fun this time as last year. I love to try new things and this is the perfect event for that. We created brand new sets unique to the Cutest Kid contest - some that are going to be favorites to use throughout the coming year.

As usual, I felt like every child was the cutest ever and we had some amazing outfits to work with. We asked where one darling dress was from, thinking we might have to go get one and it was all the way from Australia! I guess we do need a reason to travel there someday.

Voting begins today and we'd love to have you help us out. The 3 winners get portraits displayed in Oak Park Mall and additional winners will be chosen to model in some of our local boutiques and clothing companies modeling campaigns.

The Cutest Kid contest supports the Aasha fund and we are so proud to be able to donate all of the session fees to help create a home for 5 orphaned girls in Nepal this year. Thank you to everyone who has participated!

Who We are Helping with antisdel.s Cutest Kids Contest

Several weeks ago, I received the following email from my friend, Vicki Taufer. If you have been following antisdel.s Cutest Kids contest, you would recognize Vicki as our contact to the orphans in Nepal that we are supporting with the session fees from our Cutest Kids sessions. I was so happy to know that we will be able to make a difference in these 5 specific little girls lives. Thank you so much for being involved if you have been and if you haven't or you want to do more, please consider donating at one of the links below.

"I am reaching out to my friends in the photography industry to share with you something very close to Jed and I's hearts. We have become aware of 5 orphaned girls in southern Nepal who need a family and a home. We are working with our adoption agency, Hope's Promise, to start up and fund this home. We believe in what Hope's Promise is doing and have spent time with the children in one of their other homes during my 6 month stay in Nepal.  

I am hoping to return to Nepal with Nima in the next few months and meet the 5 girls and the family they will be living with. You can be a part of helping give these kids find hope. In the event our initial goal is met, we will be putting the additional donations into www.AashaFund.org as a way to continue to fund the home indefinitely.
