WHAT ASHLEY HAD TO SAY ABOUT BEING ANTISDEL.S LAST YEARS SPA MODEL WINNER....

Being a SPA model was amazing! I got to meet kids my age from across the country, as well as work with some incredibly talented photographers. Shooting  with the national speakers was tons of fun. They took the architecture of a very unusual place and made it look like something any girl would love to have as a senior portrait. My other photographer  was also wonderful. He found some amazing places to shoot in the Cherry Lounge and had great vision. The images turned out to be very high-fashion. Speaking of fashion, the fashion show was tons of fun! After getting my nerves out during my first trip down the runway, I was running on adrenaline.

Everyone on the SPA staff was so nice. They worked extremely hard to make sure everyone was happy and I know I was the whole time. They do such a great job with setting up the Darkroom and accommodating to everyone’s needs. I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to attend the event, to just do it! I know SPA 2010 will be great (I have stayed at the Del Coronado in San Diego and it is BEAUTIFUL!). Thanks to everyone at Antisdel’s and SPA for a once in a lifetime experience!

WHAT IS A SPA MODEL? spa stands for an organization called senior portrait artist. they have members from all over the globe. these members are the best high school senior photographers in the world and antisdel.s photography is a member of this organization.

once a year at a unique location spa Event is held. 15 senior winners will be chosen from all the entrants from the spa studios. at the event there is a fashion show and modeling shoots that the spa model winners participate in. there will be modeling scouts there. lots of spa models now have  modeling careers! but that is just a bonus if that happens. if you are a winner you will get an all expense paid trip, (this year spa Event is at the Del Coronodo resort in San Diego January 2nd-5th), a large portfolio of images from the Event, and new friends and fun memories to last a lifetime. To create moods and different looks, we use a wide variety of lighting types during your photo shoot to make your images look pleasing, unique and different. Technology. Yes, we really do love technology and learning all the new changes everyday. antisdel.s photographers know about cameras, lenses and all the secrets about how to make them work to create our own unique antisdel.s STYLE.

Anatomy. No, not that tough class you have to take in order to get into med school, but the human face, form and movement play an important part in making great portraits. antisdel.s photographers know how to help you move and turn to find the angles that will make you look your best. The fabulous part is, you don't have to worry about what to do. Your photographers will give you direction and then let your individuality SHINE through!

Personality. We also learn about your personality and feelings and then use the best ways to help you show "who you are" in your portraits. So just RELAX and be yourself and let us do all the work!

Locations. At antisdel.s, you can be photographed in so many different places that we could shoot all day and never use the same set twice. The window light and flash area in our studio, the five acres of outdoor grounds out back with woods, flowers, waterfalls and creeks. Our own "warehouse" and downtown "loft". And we travel the world to find in-style, trendy, just the right color sets and backgrounds to look good with your outfits and where you live.

To support art in the Kansas City community, antisdel.s photography is offering an artist scholarship to high school seniors in the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.  The definition of an artist includes writers, musicians, web designers, painters, photographers and more.  Any 2010 senior who excels in a creative field is encouraged to apply.  Download the pdf to start your application today. Winners will receive a $500 cash scholarship for the continued education of their choice.
