I actually liked the shirt I have for Chilton's spring portraits so much that we used it for the background of one of Beale's 1 week pictures. I do love the sleeping baby portraits, but my children rarely cooperate for them. Beale is so bright-eyed and I love his little man face. This was a great angle to shoot. I held him laying back on my knees and Mom shot from above. Tressie got the light and Paula held the background for this shot.
When I was pulling images for the Whispers and Kisses entry, I came across these of Chilton from that session. I thought he was so cute in his little floral shirt and shorts. This year, he has a polka dot shirt to wear. I'm going to have to do some bribing to get that on instead of a shirt with a truck, ball or dinosaur.
and we are excited to celebrate springtime with our Whispers and Kisses™ sessions, next Wednesday, March 5. If you don't have a session booked yet, there are still times available. As you can see, the bunnies are such a delight. And our children dressed in Easter Finery is so much fun.
You know what's funny? Little boys love bunnies. As you can see, they like to snuggle with them and they love to watch the show of their images when they come back to view their sessions.
Also, I've included one image without a bunny. It's one of my favorite images I've shot. Even though Little Will does not look happy and isn't giving us a big grin, I would still have to say I love it. What I think I really like is that his mom loved the image, too. She wasn't worried about capturing something that wasn't there. She trusted me to photograph who Will was at that moment. I do have a lot of wonderful smiles of Will from other sessions. I'll share those someday, too.
Yesterday was Beale Andrew Bondurant's 2 week birthday! So, I'm semi "back at work" today. I came in to the studio more to visit and share the cutest little baby ever than to really "work", but I have achieved a few things. One of my goals was to share some of our pictures from his first few hours in the hospital.
His birth was, by far, the most traumatic of all 4 children. I was actually being prepped for a C-Section when Dr. Mirabile came in and convinced Beale to come out without the section. We were all in awe of Dr. Mirabile's skills. He and his staff at For Women Only are on the top of our list of great people right now.
So, here are some images that Gaga (Grandma Sana) took when Beale was just born on February 5, 2008 at 7:52 am weighing 7 lb 14 oz 20 inches long.
Here is the very kissable little guy.

Grandma Hazel and Beale at home. You can see one of Grandma's quilts is draped over her chair.

All the boys.

Can you tell we're proud?

Last March, we traveled to the Pima Air Museum in Tucson, AZ to check it out for this year's spa Event. We loved the museum and it was an incredible hit with the photographers at the Event. Several of Karaline's images that I posted a few days ago were photographed there.
Mom, Dad, Andy and I planned to stay for a short while to see if it would be a place that we could possibly shoot. We ended up spending several hours there. Being that close to all those planes was an amazing experience. We saw the aircraft that launched the Hubble telescope and climbed into JFK's Air Force One. All the tiny fighter planes were unbelievable to see as well. We wished we could have spent more time in the hangars (I missed the word "hangar" in the county spelling bee in 8th grade. It's bugged me ever since) reading all of the history as well.
Here are a few images from our day there. Most have me in them, either with mom, andy or by myself.
They might be cousins, but I think these boys better rethink their position. They look a little outnumbered to me.
Oh, it looks like the girls have forgiven them. Lucky guys.
and here is a shot of each set of siblings
2nd, the little girls. Are they going somewhere?

and, last, our very own Brooke (you may have seen her earlier on the blog as a ladybug) and her big brother, Brett
Talk about sweet! Baby Betsy was only 10 days old when we photographed this session. She is such a little snuggler. She hardly woke up the whole session. This first image is one of my all time favorite newborn images. She looks so much like a "Betsy" here.
Here, she is already the little princess that she will undoubtedly be with 3 older brothers.
And, this last image she looks like the precious gift that she is to her family. This session was so peaceful and almost reverent. Congratulations to Betsy's family on your precious blessing.
Jacob was our other finalist in the senior portrait artists™ model competition besides Karaline.

These images were shot during a 1 year session. Mom was inside with this little guy photographing him tearing into his gorgeous cake when I walked by the window on my way back into the studio from photographing outdoors with another session. As you can see, he was captivated by all of us out the window and proceeded to get as close to us as possible. So, I took the opportunity to take a few shots of him smooshing his cute face against the glass. We loved the results of both angles and his mom did, too. What a darling personality!
