Who We are Helping with antisdel.s Cutest Kids Contest

Several weeks ago, I received the following email from my friend, Vicki Taufer. If you have been following antisdel.s Cutest Kids contest, you would recognize Vicki as our contact to the orphans in Nepal that we are supporting with the session fees from our Cutest Kids sessions. I was so happy to know that we will be able to make a difference in these 5 specific little girls lives. "I am reaching out to my friends in the photography industry to share with you something very close to Jed and I's hearts. We have become aware of 5 orphaned girls in southern Nepal who need a family and a home. We are working with our adoption agency, Hope's Promise, to start up and fund this home. We believe in what Hope's Promise is doing and have spent time with the children in one of their other homes during my 6 month stay in Nepal.  

I am hoping to return to Nepal with Nima in the next few months and meet the 5 girls and the family they will be living with. You can be a part of helping give these kids find hope. In the event our initial goal is met, we will be putting the additional donations into www.AashaFund.org as a way to continue to fund the home indefinitely. Antisdels images on display at national convention

I was so excited to see our images beautifully displayed at the white house custom color booth at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International convention.

I have been photographing so many newborn and 1 year sessions. It's such a fun way to start off the New Year and a great reminder that we are always beginning.

I LOVE IT!!! Brought tears to my eyes actually. The pictures were just too beautiful for words and captured each kids' true character.  



Thanks for always making our picture taking experience a great one. It is an experience, not a hassle, not a struggle, that I think people find at other portrait places, but a fun time for us to spend together with a beautiful result at the end.

Swetha came in last week for her senior portrait session. She was ready to try some creative and different ideas. I always love that collaboration because we come up with images that we've never done before. So beautiful!

We have been having so much fun with our gorgeous families in the fall leaves.

antisdel.s new St. Nick and Narnia set - St. Nick in the Woods

Little Makinley loved being our model for the test shoot for this year's St. Nick and Narnia set. It was so fun to try out our vintage sleigh and cabin wall. We will be adding more snow and trees to complete the Narnia part of the look. Isn't she so sweet? Even her pout is cute.

If you are wondering what to wear, you could go all fancy, add in the furs or opt for something more woodsy and outdoorsy. This is my favorite set yet and I can't wait to plan my own children's wardrobes for St. Nick in the Woods. 

Getting our display ready for the holiday mart

We have been having so much fun preparing for the junior league holiday mart which opens tomorrow. Our booth is number 507 located right at the top of the escalators in bartle hall.

What senior pictures look like when it's 111 degrees...

It's hard to believe that just a couple weeks ago it was so incredibly hot, but I have proof. This is an image of the dashboard of my car while in route to one of our locations in Louisburg during a senior portrait session with Shelby.

As you can see, it really was 111 after I started driving. When we first got into the car, it actually showed 112 but I wasn't fast enough to shoot that picture. We were on our way to photograph Shelby in her pink prom dress at the big tree. I also have proof that I was not sitting in the car shooting out of the window. Although, now that I type that, it sounds like a great idea to hold onto for future scorching days.

Below, is an image of me, Kia, photographing Shelby while she poses on the tree. I love calling someone a trooper. Shelby definitely was a trooper.

 

 

But, Shelby didn't just climb up on the tree which was somewhat shaded for the gorgeous images below...

She also ran through the tall grass in the beating sun with these really fun pink wings on and a hat full of flowers, no less. I love her pink wings and barbie pink prom dress. So fun. So playful. So hot. Literally!
