We didn't have a TV when I was a kid. Dad used to sneak one back home during football season when the Chiefs were playing well and during the Olympics, but Mom would get tired of us sitting glued in front of the tube and she would haul off the current television.
So every Tuesday when my mom would have paint class (she taught oil and watercolor painting classes) at my grandma's house, my two younger brothers, my dad and I would get to watch The A Team and Moonlighting. It was the highlight event of the week.
On a recent date, Andy and I watched The A Team movie and I was thoroughly entertained. It has a certain brand of humor that I really get. Andy got a kick out of watching me watch the movie because I laughed out loud so much.
Driving home from the theater, I was reminiscing about The A Team and I started singing that great rap song "Treat Your Mother Right" by Mr. T. Andy had never heard of it, obviously didn't own the audio tape as a kid and certainly hadn't memorized every word like my brothers and I did.
You can't be a proper A Team fan without seeing this:

When I was creating the post last night about photographing at Royals Family Day, I couldn't resist putting together a video of the still and moving images we took of the Bloomquist family.
When I do a senior Casting Call session like Alex's that I posted the other day, I do both the photography and the video, setting up the video shots either before or after I photograph the still images, but with family sessions, Natalie takes video while I shoot. I was delighted to see how well it all meshed or to use the big photographer buzz work - created "Fusion" (the official name for combining video and still images).
Enjoy this sweet Family Portrait video:

This video has totally cracked me up, every single time I've seen it. That's a lot of times. You can ask my husband, Andy. I'm guessing when he hears the first few beats of music, he just reflexively rolls his eyes. But I love that the creator of this video is a photographer among other things and is celebrating being a mom in a hilarious way. Enjoy!
